What is Hydrafacial® Treatment?
The Hydrafacial® is a next-generation skincare treatment that delivers deep cleansing, gentle exfoliation, and personalised booster serums to target a wide range of skin concerns.
Popular across Kensington for its bespoke, luxury approach, this treatment is suitable for all skin types and tones. Our aesthetic therapists tailor every Hydrafacial® using advanced booster serums, ensuring your skin receives the exact ingredients it needs for visible, long-lasting results.
Using the brand’s patented 4-in-1 Vortex technology, the Hydrafacial® device performs a three-stage cleanse + peel, extract + hydrate, and fuse + protect protocol. The result is brighter, clearer, healthier-looking skin with no downtime and minimal discomfort – perfect for busy Kensington lifestyles.
The Hydrafacial® HydraPeel tips used on the handpieces have a unique spiral design that provides powerful hermetic suction to resurface the skin and extract impurities without damaging the skin’s surface. Simultaneously, the handpiece delivers superficial but effective peels for added exfoliation and potent serums to hydrate and calm the skin.
On top of this, the Hydrafacial® treatment also includes lymphatic drainage through gentle vacuum suction stimulation, manual massage of the lymph nodes and LED light therapy. It combines blue light – which helps kill bacteria on the skin’s surface and reduce inflammation – and red light, which stimulates collagen production. Overall, this treatment offers the efficacy of other prestige treatments with the relaxing experience of a more traditional facial.
Initial Hydrafacial® Consultation
At your initial Hydrafacial® consultation, our skincare experts will assess your skin in detail to create a personalised treatment plan and confirm whether Hydrafacial® is the most suitable option for your concerns. Depending on your goals, we may recommend a course of treatments spaced two to four weeks apart. For general skin maintenance and overall skin health, sessions are typically carried out every four to six weeks.
Hydrafacial® cannot be performed within two weeks of injectable treatments, including Botox and fillers. We also advise that you do not have any laser treatments, threading or waxing to the treatment area within this time frame. You must stop using topical retinols, acids or manual exfoliants at least 48 hours before treatment.
Please arrive at your appointment with minimal makeup. We prefer if you could come makeup free, however we do understand that not all clients will feel comfortable doing so.
During Treatment
Before your Hydrafacial® treatment at our Kensington clinic, our expert therapists will gently cleanse your skin, removing any makeup or product residue to prepare it for the procedure. No anaesthetic is required, as the treatment is comfortable and virtually pain-free.
The Hydrafacial® is a multi-stage process designed to deeply cleanse, exfoliate, and hydrate the skin while enhancing overall skin health. At Eden Skin Clinic, we offer two bespoke Hydrafacial® options:
-
Signature Hydrafacial® – Includes Cleanse + Peel, Extract + Hydrate, and Fuse + Protect steps for a quick yet powerful refresh.
-
Platinum Hydrafacial® – The ultimate Hydrafacial® experience, combining all the benefits of the Signature treatment with Detox, tailored Booster Serums, and LED Light Rejuvenation for truly radiant results.
DETOX
Lymphatic drainage improves circulation of the lymphatic system and helps to eliminate toxins.
CLEANSE + PEEL
A deep cleanse using vortex technology, lifts away the dead layers of skin for gentle skin resurfacing. Followed by a chemical exfoliation to brighten, rejuvenate and soften the pores ready for extractions.
EXTRACT + HYDRATE
Extractions using vortex technology to lift away blackheads, blocked pores, oil and congestion, whilst infusing nourishing moisturisers that quench the skin, causing minimal discomfort.
BOOSTER
Boosters suitable for everyone to target skin concerns and enhance, optimise and personalise treatments. Whether that be to brighten, restore & firm, smooth & refine, hydrate, or calm.
FUSE + PROTECT
Cocktail of antioxidants, hyaluronic acid and peptides to hydrate, protect and maximise the skin’s glow.
LED REJUVENATION
Red and infrared LED lights reduce redness and further stimulate collagen, which can help improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles as well as supporting the natural production of Vitamin D. The blue light prompts photochemical oxidation, which destroys bacteria on the skin’s surface. This is effective against acne and rosacea, amongst other common skin complaints.
Hydrafacial® PERKS
As an additional boost to your Hydrafacial® regimen, you can add a Perk Lip or Eye treatment. Perk Lip treatment revitalises the lip area with key ingredients like peppermint oil and peony extract to exfoliate, refresh and hydrate. Perk Eye refreshes the outer-eye area, delivering ingredients such as horse chestnut seed and arnica flower extracts, providing firming and hydrating benefits. These treatments also include a take-home serum to keep the Hydrafacial results going, even after you’ve left the clinic.
KERAVIVE
Keravive utilises the patented technology of the popular Hydrafacial® to deliver premium scalp care for a completely unique experience. The 3-step treatment results in an optimal environment for healthy-looking, fuller, natural hair growth over time. It is indicated for people who are suffering from scalp flaking, itchiness, dryness, or irritation. Hydrafacial® Keravive also benefits people who are experiencing hair thinning or loss due to hormonal, environmental, or physiological factors such as stress.
PURIFY- Stimulates and opens hair follicles with light suction and gentle exfoliating Hydrafacial® tip, removing excess oil and follicle-clogging debris such as dead skin cells and hair product buildup.
NOURISH- Infuses cleansed hair follicles and the surrounding skin with hydration and a cocktail of rejuvenating peptides and growth factors. Leaves a clean, refreshed, and hydrated scalp.
BOOST- Enhance and extend your clients‘ treatment results with the Keravive take-home treatment. This peptide rich take-home spray continues to supercharge natural hair growth over time post-treatment by infusing each purified and stimulated hair follicle.
The Process
The first two stages involve Vortex Cleansing and HydraPeel Exfoliation, which work together to remove dead skin cells and excess sebum from the stratum corneum. Through gentle dermabrasion and a non-irritating blend of glycolic and salicylic acids, debris and impurities are loosened within the pores and prepared for extraction. Our therapists select specialist treatment tips tailored to your individual skin needs.
Next is Vortex Extraction, where controlled vacuum suction removes blackheads and congestion without the discomfort of manual squeezing. This painless process is particularly effective for breakout-prone or congested skin, leaving the complexion clearer, smoother, and more refined.
The penultimate stage, Vortex Fusion, delivers a rejuvenating infusion of antioxidants, peptides, and hydrating hyaluronic acid to replenish and calm the skin. For enhanced results, your therapist can incorporate targeted booster serums to address specific concerns such as pigmentation, acne, or fine lines.
To complete the treatment, handheld LED light therapy is applied to the skin. Blue light helps destroy surface bacteria and is beneficial for acne-prone or rosacea-affected skin, while red light supports collagen production, helping to soften fine lines and improve overall skin tone.
After Hydrafacial® Treatment
After your treatment, your therapist will apply all relevant aftercare, including SPF. The skin may initially be slightly pink in appearance, but this is short-lived.
In some cases, you may experience a feeling of tightness, itchiness or a heat sensation – this is all normal and will not last long. You should not use exfoliators or retinols on the skin for 48 hours post-treatment. Full aftercare advice will be given when you visit our Wimbledon or Kensington clinic.
When you leave the clinic, it is important you avoid scratching and picking at your skin. We recommend you bring a clean face mask to wear home with you if necessary for your journey and to ensure that you use a clean pillowcase and towel.
Your therapist will give you a leaflet to take home with you that details all aftercare advice. This information can also be found on our website. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact either one of our clinics in Kensington or Wimbledon directly, as we will be happy to help.

Please read our terms and conditions here.
How long does the treatment take?
The HydraFacial is a revolutionary multi-stage advanced facial treatment that takes 45 to 60 minutes to complete.
Is the HydraFacial painful?
The HydraFacial is not painful, though some clients may experience mild discomfort. The vortex technology combined with nourishing serums allows the device to glide over the face gently.
How many sessions does it take to see results?
After your first HydraFacial, you may notice smoother, brighter skin with a more even tone. Results from this treatment are often immediately noticeable, although for optimum results, we recommend sessions at monthly intervals, with potential maintenance thereafter, to see clinical improvement. Book now at our London clinics.
Am I a good candidate for this treatment?
HydraFacial is a treatment designed for all skin types. Even the most sensitive skin easily tolerates the HydraFacial treatment. During your initial consultation with our skincare specialists at Eden, we will evaluate your skin concerns and tailor your treatment to your needs, including giving you the option of a personalised booster add-on.
How is HydraFacial different to Microdermabrasion?
HydraFacial and Microdermabrasion both treat skin concerns like congestion, acne, texture, and dullness. However, the differences in their procedures mean that one may be more suitable than another, depending on your specific concerns. As a form of ‘hydradermabrasion’, HydraFacial may be more suitable for those who have dry or dehydrated skin types.
Additionally, HydraFacial’s Vortex vacuum suction technology is particularly effective at extracting blackheads. Conversely, Microdermabrasion will be more suitable for people concerned with superficial scarring or thickened, textured skin, as it can provide more intense exfoliation.
What are the after effects and required downtime?
There are little to no side effects during and after the procedure. However, some may experience a slight tightness or redness in the hours following their treatment. Please follow the correct aftercare protocol as explained by your skin specialist; this includes no touching the skin.
The night following your treatment, use a clean pillowcase and refrain from applying harsh cleansers, scented products, and fake tan. You may lightly cleanse with a non-perfumed cleanser and apply SPF the next day. You can return to your normal skincare routine with the exception of avoiding retinols, exfoliants and acids for 48 hours minimum post-treatment.
