The Treatment Process
Here’s what to expect during your PDRN microneedling session at Eden Skin Clinic:
- Preparation – Your skin is cleansed & sterilised thoroughly to remove makeup, oil, and impurities. Your therapist will select a light Meso peel to help slough off the superficial layers of dead skin cells to help the PDRN serum to penetrate more efficiently
- Microneedling with PDRN – Using a sterile, microneedling device called Dermapen, we create micro-channels across the treatment area. As we go, we apply the solution, allowing the Polynucleotides to absorb deeply into the skin. The micro-injuries stimulate collagen production while the PDRN supports healing and renewal.
- Soothing & Hydration – towards the end of your treatment, we will apply a mask to reduce redness and support recovery. We will then apply calming serums followed by aftercare products Your skin may appear flushed immediately after, but this typically subsides within 24 to 48 hours.
The entire treatment takes around -60 minutes and is well tolerated by most skin types. You’ll leave the clinic with no significant downtime and visible improvement in hydration and texture within a few days.
Aftercare & Results
Post-treatment care is essential to getting the best from your PDRN treatment:
- – Do not cleanse your skin the evening of your treatment.
- – Follow the recommended skincare routine advised by your therapist.
- – Do not apply any makeup to the skin for 24hrs
- – Do not pick or pull any flaking skin and avoid touching the skin.
- – Do not use fake tan and avoid sun exposure for 2 weeks following the treatment.
- – Do not have any hair removal on the treatment area for 7 days.
- – You should not use any form of exfoliator (physical or acids) for 4-7 days following treatment.
- – You should not have any IPL treatment, chemical peels or microdermabrasion for 2 weeks.
- – Do not use hot tubs, steam rooms, saunas, or take excessively hot showers for 2 days.
- – No swimming or exercise for 2 days.
- – Clean pillow cases the night of your treatment
Results develop gradually as the skin regenerates. You may notice increased radiance and smoothness within a few days, with ongoing improvement over several weeks as collagen production and cellular turnover continue to increase.
For optimal results, we typically recommend a course of 3-6 sessions spaced 2-4 weeks apart, depending on your individual skin needs.
